Понравилось: Woman travelling solo here. I only needed an affordable, clean safe bed for two nights fairly near an RER station. (Please note the Saint Michel-Notre Dame RER station turned out to be closed for construction until the end of 2022). My room was safe, clean and only a block from the Seine. I wasn’t sure how to grade a place like this. It’s a one star so here’s what my opinion is. It also might not be to every travellers taste so remember that. I chose this accommodation because it was affordable, in an excellent location and it looked decidedly quirky. What I found when I checked in was a older building, located down a short side street, with spiral staircase, tiny toilets tucked in corners and those nice big french door windows. There is a terrace out back for you to enjoy. My room was painted in vibrant colors that hark from the old hippie days in the 70’s. You could just imagine artists and backpackers from over the years here. I include staying in unusual places as part of my travel experience and decided I enjoyed staying here. I had clean sheets and towels, soap, clean bathmat and hair dryer in sink/shower, they came in and made the bed while I was out and there was a radiator for cold weather and a pedestal fan for hot weather. My room didn’t smell like smoke. Enjoy the nightly racket of the Europeans (earplugs may be needed.) The guys who run the hotel were nice and speak English very well. There is a nice brasserie cafe down on on the corner. They are very friendly and not snooty with good prices.

Не понравилось: Building has seen better days and is a bit dusty but I would stay here again if travelling alone. At first I didn’t know what to think but the vibe here is good and the room ended up feeling kind of fun.

Понравилось: liked the quirkiness of the place and loved the idea of the different rooms. I loved the location and the guy running it was excellent.

Не понравилось: Even though the guy had given us a bigger room for my wife’s birthday (thank you!) - I couldn’t work out if the paint falling off the walls was part of the quirkiness

Понравилось: Everyone who works here is welcoming and charming, helpful, professional - just a really lovely vibe here. I arrived ahead of my partner and took a single room. There would have been plenty of room for two. My partner cannot do stairs though, so when he arrived we moved downstairs to another CHARMING room. With a garden view. It was SO lovely. The hotel is quiet. Close to EVERYTHING you want to see in Paris. Easy to get to from Eurostar. Close to metro and bus. You can walk to EVERYTHING from this location. Romantic. Safe. The cafe on the corner is lovely too.
