Gamboa Rainforest Reserve

Понравилось: I absolutely loved staying here! there’s so much to do here and the staff was so friendly and helpful!

Не понравилось: there is very little lighting in the rooms but this didn’t hinder my experience in anyway!

Понравилось: The staff are the great asset of the hotel. They are all very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and it was great to have a balcony overlooking the Chagres River.

Не понравилось: The desserts at lunch and dinner were not very appetising. We had to ask for fruit instead and then we just got the same fruit that was available at breakfast. The trips run from the hotel were very expensive for what was on offer. Over $40 for a short trip on the aerial tramway followed by walk to the top of the observation tower, for example. There is no bus service from Gamboa (as there used to be) so travelling anywhere from the hotel involves a taxi or Uber ride.

Понравилось: The hotel offers a lot of activities, is very big and has a lot to do.

Не понравилось: The infrastructure feels old, for the price I've seen better

Понравилось: Amazing view, really nice hotel with pool and options for tours.

Не понравилось: The food, especially the dinner, is really expensive at $28 a head with no soft drinks included. It's not even that good either. The tours are also a bit expensive.

Понравилось: the rainforest is beautiful. the bed was comfortable. the air conditioning worked. you can tell that is once was beautiful.

Не понравилось: it’s not well maintained. it’s in disrepair, dirty, and the food and service are terrible. we made multiple reservations for activities where they would fail to write down our reservation or explain what we needed to do to follow up on the reservation (don’t understand why we would need to follow up, if you make a reservation you should be able to show up at the right time and participate). we would show up at the time and then be pulled aside, humiliated and disrespected.
